The Saratoga Sun -

Faithful volunteers appreciated

Here’s trusting your Christmas was merry and your plans for the New Year are happy!

We have had a great week around here. The coffee gals have been able to make the coffee disappear pretty steady. Arleigh, Laura, Connie, Patty, LeDawn, Jo and Ellie had a visitor. Dani Herring was here to visit over the holiday.

Dominos are the life-line for some of the folks around here. Madeline, Bill, Bob, Betty, Lois, Jack J., Dick, Kay, Jack R., Ginny, Phil and Dodey kept the tiles moving last week. Madeline, Bob, Ginny and Dodey shared the winner’s circle this week.

Our faithful volunteers are Lila, Bill, Madeline, Vonda, Nancy and Bob. Wayne has been taking care of the snow removal. Then we had trouble with the garage door last week. Jack, Monty and Bill were able to get it working very nicely. Thank you to all of those that lend a helping hand.

That humming bird puzzle was finally finished this week. Kim stepped in to make it happen. The puzzle piecers were considering celebrating at the completion. Nancy smeared goop all over it and took it home to frame.

The bridge kids were otherwise involved, so no one played last week. We will see what happens this week. We missed them!

Those quilters were able to finish Josie’s quilt and then tore into the cutting of the 2013 raffle quilt blocks. It will be fun to see what it turns out like!

The evening meal was well attended. We so enjoyed Penney Varner and Rosemary Craighead as they entertained us with their ivory tickling talent.

That will be all for this time. Trust you all have a blessed and healthy New Year!
