The Lady Panthers faced Burlington's Lady Huskies first and won 3-0. They never let the Huskies get more than 13 points in any of the three matches, showing their determination. The Riverside Lady Rebels topped the Panthers during the second game with 3-0 win. The Panthers faced Meeteetse's Lady Longhorns and the battle was on. The Panthers won 3-2, but it was a hard win.

The date of the 2022 Primary Election continues to draw closer. With the filing period closing at 5 p.m. on May 27, some candidates will have a tough race ahead of them. Other seats, however, will have to be filled with write-in campaigns.

The Valley hosted U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R - Wyoming) on Thursday as the junior senator toured restoration projects on the North Platte and Encampment Rivers and later spoke at the inaugural Platte Valley Expo.
Lummis witnessed firsthand projects where 22,000 linear feet of stream channel was restored and aquatic habitat enhanced.

When the 66th Wyoming Legislature gathered in Cheyenne, they arrived with a heavy task on their shoulders. Following the economic impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19), a number of budget cuts were on the table including education funding.
