Physician, heal thyself is a common saying with Judeo-Christian roots often used in regards to the medical community. For Memorial Hospital of Carbon County (MHCC), it could also apply to their newly updated electronic health record which went live at midnight on September 18.

Celebrating the positive

The Carbon County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) had their annual review meeting at the historic Sinclair (Parco) Theater. There was food and drink before which allowed guests to mingle before the meeting got underway.
CCEDC President, Copper France, started the meeting by talking about the past year of the CCEDC on the theater stage.
He thanked the investors of the organization first.

The disparities between rural and urban healthcare are no secret. According to the Centers for Disease Control, more than 46 million Americans live in rural areas and due to living in these locations, have less access to healthcare.

Owned by David and Abbey Ross, C6 Outfitters opened on March 5 at 405 W Cedar Street, right next to Buck's Sports Grill.

Ribbon cutting by the river

A ribbon cutting for the new owners of the Riviera Motor Lodge was held on Thursday afternoon. The motor lodge is now owned by John Evans, Kathleen Martin, Kelly and Dave Christman and Rob Levine.
Rooms are under renovation and the grounds are being improved with landscaping and parking lot updates.
