Saratoga Chiropractor gets certified as acupuncturist

A Saratoga chiropractor now has certification necessary to practice acupuncture, making her one of a few, if not the only acupuncturist, in Carbon County.
Dr. Kendra Sims, D.C. Doctor of Chiropractic, and now acupuncturist, with Albany County Chiropractic in Saratoga, received the credentials necessary to practice acupuncture in February 2012 from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

Bakeshop hits Bridge Street

The idea for the bake shop started with a dream to bring something sweet to Saratoga.
“I always wanted to open up my own bakery, and I saw a need in Saratoga for comfort food, and I saw the most perfect opportunity,” said Marie Christen, the owner of Sweet Marie’s Bakeshop, a new business located in Saratoga on Bridge Street next to Strong Tower Design.

To begin, an attendance record was set when over 700 members from 38 schools across Wyoming converged on the Holiday Inn in Cheyenne, Wyoming March 14 through 16.

Building with an eye towards seniors

A construction company is about to fill a niche for the elderly of Saratoga.
Triple D Construction, a company that has operated in Wyoming for six years, is nearing completion of a fourplex apartment building on Bridge Street in Saratoga. The apartments should be ready for renters in May, said co-owner Bryan Drake.

Saws humming along at the Saratoga mill

The biggest mill in 400 miles started operating in Saratoga in mid-December and the cold weather over the past few weeks has highlighted the smoke coming out of the stacks above the by-product fed kilns.
The mill has been idle for 10 years and the new owners have refurbished existing machines and installed new equipment and brought personnel from the manufacturers of the equipment to help with the start up.

Sagebrush Senior Center has new site manager on board

At home, Ronda Krouch’s favorite meals are the ones her husband cooks, because she doesn’t have to.
At work, though, Krouch likes to cook and will get the chance to do just that in her new role as the site manager of the Sagebrush Senior Center in Encampment.
