Tiger Nation Pounces on the Competition in Rock Springs

The track meet that was scheduled for Wheatland on April 14 was canceled due to weather, and so next day, the Encampment High School (EHS)  track and field team went to Rock Springs High School to compete in the Ted Schroeder Meet of Hope on April 15.  

Eleven teams competed in the girls division and twelve teams in the boys at Rock Springs.  Encampment's girls scored 9 team points fishing in 10th place.  The boys scored 18 team points and finished in 11th place.

Head Track Coach Kegan Willford said, "I was pleased with the efforts that our athletes had in Rock Springs.  We had several of our athletes earn their personal bests in some of their events.  We are gaining valuable experience each time we attend a meet since meets are the only times, so far, this season where we have been able to get on a track.  I feel like our athletes are continuing to get in better condition and are heading in the right direction at this point in the season."
