Encampment Lady Tigers sliced through to win

The Lady Tigers win against the Lady Panthers in Friday's game

Encampment's Lady Tiger Basketball team started out a little slow on Friday, losing the first half to Saratoga's Lady Panthers. The loss must have set off a spark in the girls because they came out fighting for the second half and took it to the win. Kyenna Johnson scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Cora Schroeder added 15 points to the scoreboard and latched on to 6 rebounds while she was out there. Allison Bromley gave the team 9 points with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. There's not doubt they were in it to win it.

Coach Clint Bromley said, "I thought the girls played really well in the second half and followed the game plan. We are still working on putting four quarters together, but hopefully that will come with more time in the gym."

The girls face Rock River on Friday, January 13 for a non-league game and LSRV at their homecoming game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
