The Rams batter Miners

Miners are overpowered by a talented Dubois team

The Dubois Rams came to the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School football field and decided to send a message they were in the hunt to the State Championship. Currently they are the number two seed in the South Conference of 6-man. Number one is Little Snake River Valley which they have to this year.

HEM, a team with many young players, is rebuilding and making strides, but was unfortunate  to meet a team with a message to send.

This does not mean the Rams ran up the score to spite the Miners

76 points were gained against HEM in the first half.

The final score was 78 to 0. A safety in the 3rd quarter were the only points scored in the second half.

The running clock contributed to the game ending quicker.

"Dubois is a very good team, very good players and well coached," Head Miner football coach Zack Scott said. " We had a few stops on them and moved the ball, we just couldn't get it in the endzone."

Tom Wagner, a senior for the Miner team gained a total of 146 yards against the Rams. Hayden Antencio garnered 42 yards. Wagner tied Naythen Antencio in getting the most tackles. Both got seven.  Hayden Antencio and Jesse Deegan both got five tackles.

The HEM team played hard, but the Rams just had an answer for all of the Miners' attempts at scoring.

" We will keep working hard in practice and it will translate to success on gameday very soon,"

Scott concluded.

The Miners will be playing Ten Sleep at home on October 22 starting at noon.
