GateWay South groundbreaking held June 27, local and state officials mark occassion

On Carbon County Road 121, not too far from Medicine Bow, there was more traffic than the pronghorns and jackrabbits were used to encountering in their neck of the prairie a little before 10 a.m. on June 27.
The day was beautiful with picture perfect blue skies and a few large white clouds floating by as dust was kicked up by dozens of pick-up trucks, SUVs and cars heading towards a tent on a barren spot of land in the high desert .
