Churches throughout eastern Carbon County are preparing to hold special services to celebrate Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. As a service to our readers, the Saratoga Sun has listed multiple churches and services below if they wish to attend or view and celebrate the holiday in fellowship.

Abundant Life Church
Abundant Life Church at 108 W. Spring Avenue in Saratoga will be holding a Christmas Candlelight Service on December 24 from 5 to 6 p.m. along with Christmas Carols, special music and the Nativity Story. The service can be viewed online at bit.ly/youtubeSALF, bit.ly/facebookSALF and http://www.saratogachurch.org.
Christian Community Church
Christian Community Church, located 3.5 miles north of Encampment on Highway 230, will be holding Christmas Eve Services at 6 p.m. on December 24.
Encampment Presbyterian Church
Encampment Presbyterian Church at 918 Rankin Street in Encampment will be holding a drive-in Christmas Eve Service at 5 p.m. on December 24. Those wishing to listen can tune into 97.5 FM on their radio dial or watch the live stream on the church’s Facebook page.
First Baptist Church
The First Baptist Church at 802 W. Main Avenue in Saratoga will be holding a chili dinner at 6 p.m. followed by a church service with music and scripture on December 24.
First Presbyterian Church
The First Presbyterian Church of Saratoga at 303 W. Bridge Avenue will be holding a Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. The service will include favorite Christmas hymns, Scripture readings, a message by Rev. Steven Niccolls, and end with the lighting of the candles. It will be held in person at the sanctuary (303 W. Bridge Street). Masks will be required and we will be social distancing.
Platte Valley Lutheran Church
Platte Valley Lutheran Church at 514 S. 1st Street in Saratoga will be holding a Midweek Advent Service at 6 p.m. on December 23, a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 7 p.m. on December 24 and a New Year’s Eve Service at 7 p.m. on December 31.
Platte Valley Christian Center
Located at 7th and Main Street in Saratoga, the Platte Valley Christian Center will be holding a Christmas Eve Candle Lighting Service at 5 p.m. followed by Christmas Caroling on December 24. The center will also be holding a New Year’s Eve Gathering at 6 p.m. on December 31.
Saratoga Alliance Church
At Saratoga Alliance Church, located at 1302 S. River Street in Saratoga, a Christmas Eve Service and Desert Fellowship will be held at 5:30 p.m. on December 24.
St. Barnabas Episcopal
St. Barnabas Episocpal Church in Saratoga will be going digital with their Christmas Eve Service this year as they head to Zoom. The December 24 service will begin at 5:30 p.m., email Reverend Peggy Hotchkiss at [email protected] for the link.
St. Ann’s Catholic Church
Located at 211 W. Spring Avenue in Saratoga, St. Ann’s Catholic Church will be holding a Christmas Eve Service at 5:30 p.m. on December 24 and two Christmas Day services, one at 10 a.m. and another at 5:30 p.m., on December 25.
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
Hanna residents can attend a Christmas Day service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at 3 Heather Drive, at 12:30 p.m. on December 25.
