Churches around east Carbon County are preparing for the highlight of the Christian calendar. Many houses of worship will be offering special Christmas Eve or Christmas Day services.
Saint Ann’s Catholic
On Dec. 24, Saint Ann’s Catholic Church at 211 West Spring St. in Saratoga will be holding Christmas Eve Mass at 10 p.m.
The church will also be holding their Christmas Mass at 10 a.m. Christmas Day.
Saint Joseph’s
Mission Church
On Dec. 24, Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church at 3 Heather Dr. in Hanna will be holding a Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. Dec. 24.
Saratoga Alliance Church
The Saratoga Alliance Church 1302 S. River St. in Saratoga will be holding a candlelight service at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24.
Christian Community Church
The Christian Community Church at 3.5 miles north of Encampment on Hwy 230 will be holding a candlelight service 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23.
Foothills Baptist Church
The Foothills Baptist Church at 510 Freeman in Encampment will hold Advent services at 11 a.m. on Dec. 23 and 30.
Platte Valley Lutheran
The Platte Valley Lutheran Church at 154 S. First St. in Saratoga will be holding a candlelight service at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24.
A New Year’s look back and forward will also be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31
Saint Barnabas
Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church at 106 West Main St. in Saratoga will hold a candlelight service with carols at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
Platte Valley
Christian Center
The Platte Valley Christian Center, Assembly of God at Seventh and Main in Saratoga will be holding a candlelight service with caroling at 5 p.m. on Dec. 24.
The public is also invited to a showing of the film “God’s not Dead 2” at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.
Ride on Faith Ministries
Ride on Faith Ministries seven miles south of Saratoga will be holding their Christmas service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23.
