“Going three and one isn’t bad,” Cliff Jones, head coach for Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School basketball said of the varsity team. “Of course a coach likes to win every game.”
The Carbon County Invitational held in Hanna on Friday had HEM host Meeteetse and beat the Longhorns 78-45. Also on Friday, the Miners played Dubois who gave the HEM basketball team a closer game but still lost 65-50.
The Miners found themselves down 7 points early against St. Josephs but took the lead 22-21 in the second quarter. The Eagles were ahead at halftime 27-24.
