Despite season-ending loss coach praises team for good season, sees promise for future

The Saratoga football team met the Burlington Huskies on Friday and although the Panthers lost 69-14, Logan Wright, the Saratoga head football coach, said the game had its highlights.

“We came out and had a good start,” Wright said. “We drove down the field and got to the three yard line but couldn’t punch it in.”

The Panthers forced a punt on defense next.

Wright said the next series caused problems.

“Our blocking wasn’t prepared enough and that’s on me,” Wright said. “We were blocking incorrect linebackers and Burlington made us pay with a lot of pressure and a safety...
