HEM improves ventilation system in wood, metal shops, throughout the school. Companies race the clock in getting building open for school year.

Harold Phillips, Director of Maintenance for north county Carbon County School District No. 2 schools said the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) Middle/High School needed upgrades to improve safety for the students.

A new ventilation system in the metal shop was one of the new improvements done over the summer. There was also new lighting.

"The new ventilation system in the metal shop and wood shop was done to improve the safety for the kids," Phillips said.
