Full roster of candidates due at first election forum Monday
A good turnout of Town of Saratoga and Wyoming State Legislative candidates is expected for the first of two 2018 election forums sponsored by the Valley Service Organization (VSO).
The forum is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday (July 23) in the great hall at the Platte Valley Community Center.
With the exception of Mayor E. J. Glode, who is running unopposed for his second term, all the candidates for the scheduled offices have indicated they will attend, according to Sue Jones, organizer of the event for VSO.
Four-year term Saratoga Town Council candidates expected are: Incumbent Will Faust, Chia Valdez Schwartz, Jon Nelson and Kimberly A. Hytrek.
Also included at the forum will be Wyoming House District 47 State Representative candidates incumbent Jerry Paxton (R) from Encampment and challenger Julie McCallister (R), Rock River.
Running for the House Senate District 11 seat are Incumbent Larry S. Hicks, (R) from Baggs, and Lee Ann Stephenson (D) of Riverside.
