Panthers in Pine Bluff

Saratoga ventured from the Panther Den last Thursday to compete in the Pine Bluffs Invite. While there, several Lady Panthers and Panthers would place in multiple events. Taylor Bennett placed 2nd or 3rd in four events and the boys spring medley relay team placed 1st.

Lady Panthers

Bennett placed 2nd in the 100 meter run and 3rd in the 200 meter run with a time of 14.19 seconds and 29.86 seconds, respectively. Bennett also placed 2nd in the long jump with a distance of 12 feet, 7 inches and 3rd in the triple jump with a distance of 31 feet, 10.25 inches.

Shianne Baker placed 5th in the 100 meter run with a time of 14.64 seconds. Baker also followed Bennett in the 200 meter run, coming in 4th with a time of 30.73 seconds.

Mychaela Jackman came just behind Baker in the 100 meter run, placing 6th with a time of 14.73 seconds. Jackman also placed 2nd in 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.08 seconds and 5th in 300 meter hurdles with a time of 55.06 seconds.

Kaitlyn Campbell placed 8th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 20.62 seconds.

Ashlynn Johnson placed 6th in the 800 meter with a time of 2 minutes, 51.64 seconds and 2nd in the 3200 meter with a time of 14 minutes, 3.9 seconds.

Makiya Johnson placed 8th in the triple jump with a distance of 27 feet, 6.5 inches.

In the 4x400 relay, the relay team of Campbell, Kylee Conseen, Kelly Glode and Makiya Johnson placed 2nd with a time of 5 minutes, 10.46 seconds.

Panthers

Sam Schneider placed 1st in the triple jump with a distance of 41 feet, 8.5 inches and 2nd in the high jump with a height of 5 feet, 10 inches.

Gage Bartlett came just behind Schneider in the triple jump, placing 2nd with a distance of 40 feet, 7.5 inches. Bartlett also placed 5th in the 400 meter run with a time of 55.84 seconds.

Benjamin Fairbanks placed 4th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5 minutes, 22.31 seconds. Joey Gonzales came in just behind Fairbanks in the 1600, placing 5th with a time of 5 minutes, 40.34 seconds.

Gonzales also placed 3rd in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11 minutes, 44.13 seconds. Gavin Bartlett came in just behind Gonzales in the 3200, placing 4th with a time of 12 minutes, 54 seconds.

Jeremiah Debar placed 8th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 29.71 seconds.

The boys also placed in three different relays. In the 4x100 relay, the team of Gage Bartlett, Preston Dew, Greg Swanson and Teegan Love placed 7th with a time of 50.14 seconds.

In the 4x400 relay, the team of Debar, Love, Swanson and Noah Rimmer placed 4th with a time of 4 minutes, 6.41 seconds.

The spring medley relay was where the boys really shined through. The team of Swanson, Schneider, Gage Bartlett and Fairbanks placed 1st with a time of 4 minutes, 5.55 seconds.

The next meet for Saratoga will be at 4 p.m. on April 27 at the Wyoming Track Classic in Casper before they host the Burt Willford Invite at 9.30 a.m. on April 28 in Saratoga.
