HEM competes at Natrona due to bad weather in Big Piney

The Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow Miners track team was supposed to go to Big Piney for a meet, but the weather forced the team to go to the Natrona Hy-Tek meet in Casper instead on Friday.

“We had nine athletes compete and had nine give it their all on Friday,” Jackie Jones, head coach, said. “We had athletes compete at a high level with great competition at the meet.”

In the girls 100 meter race, Taylor Scott placed 5th and Amy Campbell came in 7th out of a field of 90 contestants. The girls 200 meter had Scott finish 4th and Campbell 10th in a race that 77 girls ran. The 1600...
