Titles get new look

Wyoming vehicle ownership papers get new security features, size, look and feel

The State of Wyoming has authorized a new Certificate of Title for all vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, mobile homes, etc.

Titles issued at your local County Clerk's office will transition to slightly larger paper, and will include new information and improved security features.

The new titles will also have a slightly different look and feel.

County clerks will begin using the new titles as soon as November, but will exhaust supplies of the previous version first.

Additionally, the back of the title will provide space to include the sale price, which county treasurers recommend be completed by the seller at the time of sale.

All previous title versions remain valid and acceptable to transfer ownership.

If you have questions or concerns about the new titles, or the legitimacy of any Wyoming title, please contact Carbon County Clerk, Gwynn Bartlett by phone at 307-328-2668 or by emailing http://www.carbonwy.com.
