Robert Lloyd Cross

"God has been so good to me."

Robert (Bob) Lloyd Cross of Loveland, Colorado, passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at the age of 83 following a battle with cancer. Robert was born June 1, 1934 in Laramie, Wyoming, to Clyde Lloyd and M. Wilma Cross. His grandparents had first settled in Keeline, Wyoming, in the 1880s.

Robert graduated from Ft. Collins High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming. After serving in the US Army from 1951-54, Robert worked at the Union Pacific Railroad and was later an elementary school teacher at Patterson Elementary and Edgewater Elementary Schools in Jefferson County.

Robert and Irene were married February 28, 1960, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. They lived in Wyoming (Saratoga and Laramie) and Colorado (Denver and Loveland). Robert was an active member of Foundations Church of Loveland. He loved old cars, hunting, fishing, CrossFit, fixing things, and riding his recumbent bicycle. Above all, he loved being with his family.

Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years Irene, sons Rodney (Kristine), Randall, and Richard (May), sister Wilma Rae Perue, and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings Gladys Vawser and Kenneth Cross.

A Memorial Service will be held at Foundations Church of Loveland at 10 a.m. October 28, followed by a light reception. All are welcome.
