Connie Eleanor Hood

Constance (Connie) Eleanor (Brown) Hood, born September 19, 1945 in Miami, Oklahoma, died in Saratoga April 30, 2017 from health complications.

Connie was raised in Miami, Oklahoma, Mountain Grove, Missouri, Three Way and Climax, Colorado. At the age of 14 the family moved to Leadville, Colorado, where Connie graduated high school.

She married Tom Hood on August 28, 1971 in Aurora, Illinois, and relocated to Saratoga in 1977. Preceding her in death were her parents and son, Nathan. She is survived by her husband, Tom Hood, son, Aaron (Rhonda), sister, Susan Johnson (Keven), brother, Bill Brown (Jennifer) and several nieces, nephews, two grandchildren (Aydin and Makenzie) and three step-Grandchildren (Nakota, Kaijun and Maggie).

Connie graduated from Stephens College and Golden State University and worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 20 years. She was a member of The Valley Service Organization and enjoyed researching genealogy, volunteering at the Saratoga Care Center, Leadville 100, playing cards with friends, knitting, floating the North Platte River, traveling and being a snowbird in Needles, California.

Family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., May 20 at the Saratoga Cemetery.
