Band with local ties loses opening chance due to illness
Jon Bon Jovi had bronchitis recently and canceled his April 7-8 Madison Square Garden concerts, rescheduling for April 13 and 15. The Denver concert was canceled altogether.
The concert initially had been scheduled for March 13.
The Bon Jovi website issued the following statement: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Bon Jovi concert scheduled for Friday, April 14 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo., has been canceled. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be refunded automatically. All other tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. For more information on the cancellation, visit Pepsi Center website and LiveNation.com”
Fans will be disappointed not only by not seeing Bon Jovi, but also Fort Collins band The Patti Fiasco whose lead singer is an Encampment native.
The Patti Fiasco was to be the opening act for the concert.
