Schutte signs with honor society

Sierra Schutte recently joined 23 of her Big Bend Community College peers in joining the Rho Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for community colleges and to enter the group a student must be enrolled in an accredited institution offering an associate degree program, have completed at least 12 hours of coursework that may be applied to an associate degree and generally have a grade point average of 3.5. receive an invitation for membership from the chapter at the college where presently enrolled.

Students must also adhere to the moral standards of the society.

Schutte, a 2016 Saratoga High School graduate, received a volleyball scholarship to attend Big Bend Community College located in Moses Lake, Washington.
