Lang completes training, honored

On December 9, 2016, Kelby Lang, resident of Saratoga, graduated from Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 58th Infantry Regiment of Fort Benning, Georgia.

At the completion of the 14-week One Station Unit Training, Lang earned Distinguished Honor Graduate status.

He was chosen Soldier of the Cycle by a Board of Cadre who select the one soldier who has outstanding qualities of leadership, competence and discipline across the company.

Kelby also earned the NCO Leadership Award and received the Army Achievement Medal.

He is currently a soldier for the Wyoming Army National Guard, stationed with Charlie Company, 1-297th Infantry Unit in Evanston.

Lang will continue to work as a journeyman lineman for Carbon Power and Light in Saratoga when not training with the National Guard.
