Richard D. Tyler Sr.

Richard Dean Tyler passed away Tuesday, May 3rd 2016 in Spring Creek Nev. at the age of 84. He was born on May 18th 1931 in Bladen, Neb. to Benjamin and Lanzelle Tyler. On December 26, 1950 he married Ruth O. Angelos in Denver, Colo. Richard (Dick) Tyler was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Lanzelle Tyler, his brother Thomas Tyler and son Michael Joseph Tyler.

He was a Korean War Veteran who served in the Army 474th Signal Aviation Construction Company and was stationed in Japan. Richard was an electrician starting his career with the IBEW Local Union 68 in Denver, Colo. The Tylers moved from Denver to Morrison, Colo. They lived there for many years.

They then moved to Encampment, Wyo., where Richard and Ruth started ranching. Richard then returned to work as the master electrician for Welton Construction for many years then worked as an electrician in the gold mines in northern Nevada. He also worked at the Wyoming State Penitentiary as the head electrician until he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Tyler; sister Beth and children; son Richard D. Tyler Jr. and grandson Josh Tyler and granddaughter HopeSheree Lowery and great grandson David Lowery; son Clark A. Tyler spouse Nancy Grover; daughter Sharon Henman spouse Larry Henman and grandsons Robert Henman and Richard Henman spouse Adair Henman and great grandson Vincent Henman; daughter Connie Tyler and Lydia Farrier and granddaughter Amber Tyhurst spouse Ron Tyhurst Jr. and great grandsons Levi and Tanner Tyhurst; daughter Patti Shugart and Dave Ortega and grandson Cody Mann and granddaughters Caitlin Mann and Kelsey Mann; daughter Donna Cassel spouse

Glenn Butch Cassel III and grandsons Jacob Allen and Austin Cassel and granddaughter Myranda Cassel; daughter Debra Augustin spouse Mark Augustin and grandsons Brandon Russell and Bradley Russell; daughter Teresa Sandvig spouse Brian Sandvig and granddaughter Kayla Rinehart great grandson Jackson and granddaughter Nicole Rinehart and granddaughter Sara Rinehart and grandson Tim Rinehart. The family is having a private remembrance.
