Donna Zeiger

On the afternoon of March 17, 2016 if you would have been listening closely you would have heard a polka playing. If you had looked up you would have seen Art with his arms wide open welcoming home his wife and dance partner Donna, so that they could polka together once again.

Donna Mae Bledsoe was born on January 25, 1931 to Goldie and Donald Bledsoe. On February 16, 1952 she married the love of her life Art Zeiger and they were married for 55 years.

Donna was not only a mother to her children Mitch, Lisa and John, but she was the mother to many children in Saratoga when they would come to the "Range Theatre" to watch a movie. She loved to golf, dance, and play bridge, cribbage, and bingo but her most enjoyable times were when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. One of her favorite places to be was sitting on the porch of their home on the Platte River watching the boaters, fishermen and wildlife.

Lisa reminded us of Art's love for eagles. Lisa said that after Donna had passed, she was driving home when an eagle swooped down in front of her. This reassured all of us that everything was going to be okay.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Art, her parents, and her sisters Beverly Fitzgerald, and Arlene "Scotty" Cornell. Donna is survived by her daughter Lisa (Dave) Rowell, and sons Mitch and John (Brenda) Zeiger and her sister Nola (Frank) Desmond. Donna is also survived by her grandchildren Dan (Donna) Martinsen,Gabe Martinsen, Mason (Riley) Zeiger, Geoff (Jennifer) Zeiger, Amber, and Maya Zeiger, and her great grandchildren Joesiah, Gavin, Maddie, Peyton, Conner, Lauren, Colin, Tristan, and Magnus, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If you wish, memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Corbett Medical Foundation.
