Nettie M. Bradshaw

Mass of Christian Burial for Nettie Bradshaw, 69 year old Buffalo resident who passed away suddenly Friday morning at her home in Buffalo, will be celebrated March 10 at 10 a.m. from the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as celebrant. A vigil service will be held and the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday from the Catholic Church. Donations in Mrs. Bradshaw's memory may be made to the Johnson County Library in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Nettie Marie Bradshaw was born on February 20, 1947 in Pueblo, Colo. to John and Mary DiIorio. She grew up and went to school in Pueblo and graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School with the class of 1965. After high school she attended Southern Colorado State College where she majored in Education. She was married on December 16, 1967 in Pueblo to James R. Bradshaw and they made their home in Pueblo where she continued her education. Nettie graduated from Southern Colorado in 1969 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. In 1971 they moved to Colorado Springs, where she was a mother and home maker. In 1977 they moved to Saratoga, Wyo., and in 1978 she took a job with the Saratoga School District as an elementary teacher. She taught in Saratoga for 30 years, and in 2008 she retired and Nettie and Dick moved to Buffalo to be near family. They continued living in Buffalo until her death.

She was a member of the Friends of the Library, the CCW, she was a volunteer at the Happy Apple at the Johnson County Health Care and the Hospital Auxiliary, she was a member of a book club, she volunteered in Kindergarten classes at Meadowlark Elementary and was an active member of the Johnson County YMCA. Nettie loved spending time with her family and her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up and support them in all of their school activities.

She is survived by her husband Dick Bradshaw of Buffalo; two daughters Julie Snyder and her husband John of Buffalo and Karen Bradshaw of Casper; one brother John DiIorio and his wife Charlotte of Pueblo, Colo .; one sister Terry Anstrom and her husband Charles of Springfield, Va .; and two grandchildren Jordan and Andrew Snyder, also of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary DiIorio.
