Ready for homecoming?

Sagebrush Senior Center

Since they have had a week or so to talk about it, Laura Rettelle, Connie Beckham, Patty Herring, Karen Dibbern, Arleigh Simmons, Linda York, Nancy Lynch and Phyllis Smith have decided they are not nominating a president.

Instead, they have elected a Speaker of the House. Connie Beckham is the winner. It sure makes sense!

Bill and Madeline Telfer, Dick Blake, Phil Fleming, Bob and Lois Thompson, Lila Payton, Dot Severns and Roy and Donna Wells filled the domino tables this past week with Phil, Bob and Dot being the winners.

Jo Roberson, Bill and Madeline Telfer and Joan Dowdy have finished up the puzzle and have another 500 piece one just about done.

We haven’t had any Bridge again this week.

Nancy Lynch, Jo Roberson, Phyllis Smith, Vonda Wieburg and Karen Casson have been stitching away on the log cabin. It looks like they should have it wrapped up within the next couple of weeks.

We had 11 people for blood pressure and 54 people for evening dinner. We will have blood pressures again on Thursday.

On Jan. 28, Jerry Paxton will be here for anyone to express their concerns about some of the upcoming items the legislature will be discussing. One item for sure will be to start charging tax on non-senior meals here at our senior centers. The other topics can be located on the legislature web site.

This coming weekend is homecoming for our school. Anyone interested in attending the games this weekend or the annual cake auction on Saturday are welcome. Information on all of it can be found on the school web page.
