Old man winter settles in

Sagebrush Senior Center

As the snow continues to fly and the winds have been high, old man winter is here to stay with drifts left behind.

Our die hards, Laura Rettelle, Karen Dibbern, Patty Herring, Connie Beckham, Arleigh Simmons, Linda York and Nancy Lynch have had plenty to chitchat about.

No domino players this week, haven’t had enough people staying after lunch to have a game.

Bill and Madeline Telfer and Jo Roberson have continued to work on the puzzle.

Sheila Johnson, Mary Lou Noton, Rosemary Craighead and Vivien Campbell were our bridge builders last week.

Our quilting bee’s Nancy Lynch, Lila Walbye, Jo Roberson, Sandy Miller, Karen Casson and Phyllis Smith still haven’t got a name for next year’s raffle quilt, but it does have a log cabin pattern in it. That is more than I knew last week.

We had 10 people get their blood pumped for blood pressure day. We also had 38 people for our Evening Meal. As people leave for the Holidays to be with family and friends, it drops our count down a bit. We will have blood pressures again on Dec. 31.

We are closed Dec. 24 & 25 to celebrate Christmas with our families. We will also be closed on Jan.1. I want to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas. God bless everyone!
