Carbon County stitches together district wins

Left to to right, Kim Preletz, Ashlynn Johnson, Peyton Munroe, Makiya Johnson and Estella Munroe, all of Encampment, model outfits they made for the Make It With Wool Contest.

The district Make It With Wool Contest was held Nov. 15 at the Jeffrey Center in Rawlins. Several Platte Valley residents placed in the competition.

Contestants modeled outfits they made from at least 60 percent of wool fabric or yarn. Garments were also judged on construction.

Tomi Sue Wille, district director for the Make It With Wool announced the winners of the district competition.

In the pre-teen division, Peyton Munroe, of Encampment, earned a first place with aqua dress and black jacket.

Hanna Lee, of Encampment, earned second place with a brown and green plaid vest and skirt.
