Holiday procrastination

Sagebrush Senior Center

There are only 16 days left until Christmas!

If any of you are procrastinators like myself, when it comes to Christmas shopping, then we have plenty of time! This also gives Laura Rettelle, Connie Beckham, Patty Herring, Arleigh Simmons, Linda York and Mary Priquet, the morning coffee group something to give me static about, which I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We did have two days of Domino players, Bill and Madeline Telfer, Lorraine Knotwell, Phil Fleming and Bob Thompson with Lorraine and Bob being the winners.

Jo Roberson, Bill and Madeline Telfer have been working on the puzzle, it must be a bit harder this time, still lots of pieces to be put together. I still haven’t got the name of next year’s raffle quilt but Nancy Lynch, Lila Walbye and Jo Roberson have been working on it.

The Bridge builders Sheila Johnson, MaryLou Noton, Rosemary Craighead, Vivien Campbell and Elizabeth Schwarz were here for a game. It was very nice to have Elizabeth Scharwz here for a visit.

We had 15 people take advantage of blood pressure and glucose checks this past Thursday. Our next blood pressure day is the 10th at 11:30.

We also have Saturday Breakfast at noon, Dec. 12. The menu is pancakes and sausage patty, fruit, juice and milk. Please call by 9 a.m. on Saturday to get your name in the pot.

I would also like to inform everyone that we have sent off for a movie license, so beginning in January we will be able to have our “Movie Night” again.

I still have some LIEAP applications available if anyone would like to try for some assistance with their heating bill this winter. Please come by anytime from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and pick one up.
