Two for stew

Games provide laughter and socialization during the week. On Sunday afternoon, four residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Monday afternoon, four residents played Yahtzee with Elaine Burge winning. On Tuesday morning, four residents played Uno. On Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoons, residents played Bingo. Kenny Hoagland, Elaine Burge, and Pat Rust won Four Corners. Elaine Burge and Kenny Hoagland won Blackouts. Our volunteers were Lila Worden, and Dawna Erickson. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

Movies provided entertainment for residents throughout the week and the weekend. In the evening residents may watch the Turner Classic Movies channel, which has no commercials. On Tuesday afternoon, residents watched the DVD movie “Mrs. Doubtfire” and had popcorn.

For Exercise during the week, residents did Wii Bowling on Sunday, Sittercise on Monday, Sittercise on Thursday, Sittercise on Friday, and Wii Bowling on Saturday.

For Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center, two residents had beef stew on Friday.

On Sunday afternoon, Pastor Scott Stinson of the Missionary Alliance Church led our church service. Terry Hicks gave the Sermon, and Joe Gaspari was the hymn leader. Doris Davis played traditional religious music on her keyboard.

On Tuesday morning, Pastor Arlen Hughes of the Abundant Life Fellowship offered Bible Study to three residents.

On Wednesday morning, four residents had their hair done, and four residents had their fingernails done by Connie Patterson and Pat Stuemke.

On Thursday afternoon, five residents did an Arts and Crafts project with Kathy McMorrow.

On Thursday at supper, Teense Willford sang and played country western songs on his guitar for 15 residents.

On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed the Ice Cream Social.
