Illness depletes cross-country team

The Saratoga Panthers cross-country team showed some improvement at the huge Liberty Bell Invite in Littleton, Colo. this weekend, but illness held them back some, with "three fourths of the kids sick," head coach Rex Hohnholt said.

"I thought the effort was there, but we just didn't have the legs and the breathing that we needed for it," Hohnholt said.

"Usually our kids see a really significant improvement," Hohnholt said. "Some of them didn't get to see where they could have been if they were healthy." Hohnholt went on to say that he did not notice any athletes that "really floundered,"...
