A colorful time of year

Sagebrush Senior Center

Fall is upon us and the trees are turning beautiful colors.

The ever-talkative bunch of coffee drinkers included Laura Rettelle, Connie Beckham, Jo Bonnett, Karen Dibbern, Ellie Behrmann, Linda York, Patty Herring, Arleigh Simmons, Nancy Lynch, Dani Vorn, Mary Priquet and Dian Bauer. They sure have some funny stories.

Our dedicated domino players were Bill and Madeline Telfer, Joe and Shelia Remick, Lorraine Knotwell, Phil Fleming, Jack Riddick and Dick Blake with Joe and Madeline taking the wins a few times.

Nancy Lynch, Karen Casson, Vonda Wieburg, Rosalie Cousins, Sandy Miller, Susan Peryam, Jo Roberson and Nancy Flohr have been busy stitching on the quilt.

Sheila Johnson, MaryLou Noton, Whitey and Alice Stewart, Millie Parker, Rosemary Craighead, Vivian Campbell, John and Marianne Blue were busy building bridges in Bridge.

Puzzle piecers included Madeline and Bill Telfer, Joe and Shelia Remick and Jo Roberson.

We had 11 people for blood pressure day. We also had 24 people for Saturday Breakfast. This coming Friday is our Birthday/Anniversary Evening Meal. We will be serving hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The entertainment is Debbie Easterling and “Cabin Fever”. It is always a pleasure to hear them sing and play. Be sure to call by noon on Friday to get your name in the pot for dinner.

I would like to apologize for not getting an article in last week’s paper. I am now aware the deadline changes when Holidays fall on Mondays. As fall is here and winter is near, activities around the area slow down a bit, but are not completely gone.

Football season is here and our local Encampment Tiger volleyball games are in full swing. Until next week, that’s all folks!
