55-Alive class offered

Saratoga Senior Center

There were two tables for Duplicate Bridge Monday. High winners were Janet Donelan and Mary Sjoden. Second high went to Marianne Blue and Mariel O’Grady.

We still have the papers for the tax refund for the elderly and disabled, so you can come and get the forms or come in and I will help you fill them out. You only have a couple of weeks left to get them filled out.

We will be having a 55-Alive defensive driving class at 9 a.m., on Sept. 9. Please call or come by and get signed up to take the class. It does help with your insurance to take it. We will be having lunch up here and we would love to have you stay for lunch. The menu for that day is tuna casserole, mixed veggies, peaches and a brownie. Please let us know if you will be staying for lunch.

We want to send our sincere sympathy to Peg McAlister and family. Her son Dennis passed away this past week. All our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It is good to hear Marian Berger is home and recovering from her accident. Hope she recovers quickly.

It was so nice to have Herm and Sherry here for lunch Friday. Since they sold their home and moved to Arizona we don’t see them. They have been traveling and stopped as they passed through.

We had our council meeting Wednesday and we decided we wanted to donate supplies to the school. So anyone that wants to bring up any kind of school supplies can bring up stuff and put it in the big box. We will take it to the school Friday. I am sure there are some that could use the help, or the teachers could use it for their classes.

Also, we did pick out the fabric for the new curtains. So we will be getting that ordered and be changing our look.
