3 fires snuffed out

Three simultaneous lightning strikes caused three wildland fires Saturday—one at Brush Creek, another at the One Bar Eleven Ranch and the last off of Carbon County Road 660.

“We had to divide and conquer here,” Homer Beach, Ryan Park Volunteer Fire Chief said. “Ryan Park took the Brush Creek one, Saratoga took One Bar Eleven and I think some Saratoga people and Encampment took the one off of County Road 660.”

Several days before on Aug. 12, One Bar Eleven experienced another fire when a hay baler caught fire and then the field caught on fire, which Ryan Park, Saratoga and Encamp...
