Never a dull moment

There is never a dull moment in this Valley. I sure hope everyone had a great weekend with everything there was to do. We have another busy weekend ahead of us. Friday kick starts our County Fair and Rodeo, Saturday is our Community Yard Sale, you can obtain a list of addresses from the Town Hall, with our Community BBQ following that evening at the Grand Encampment Park. Bring a side dish and your enthusiasm to listen and dance to good music and visit with friends and neighbors. Don’t forget to stop by here during the week and have some good and funny conversations with any of the following coffee and chatter ladies.

Ellie Behrmann, Arleigh Simmons, Patty Herring, Connie Beckham, Jo Bonnett, Karen Dibbern, Laura Rettelle, Dodey Brown, Linda York and Donna Nordin kept us informed and in good laughter stitches.

Speaking of stitches, our quilter woman, Nancy Lynch, Lila Walbye, Karen Casson, Nancy Flohr, Sandy Miller, Jo Roberson, Vonda Wieburg and Phyllis Smith are sewing up a good time. Can’t wait to see the next masterpiece they decide to do.

Mary Lou Noton, Paula Harris, Millie Parker, Whitey and Alice Stewart, Marianne Blue and Vivian Campbell keep the cards in rotation during Bridge.

We also had Bill and Madeline Telfer, Joe and Shelia Remick, Laura Rettelle, Phil Fleming, Joann Adams, Bob & Lois Thompson keeping the Dominoes turning with a 3 way win between Madeline, Bob and Laura this week. We also had a game night this past Friday evening. Seven people came and enjoyed snacks and games. Looks like Joe and Shelia Remick, Fred and Laura Rettelle, Bob and Lois Thompson and Joann Adams decided this was the good place to be for some fun and games. The Puzzle piecers have finally finished the latest puzzle, Joe Remick, Joann Adams, Laura Rettelle, Jo Roberson and Bill Telfer finally got’er gone! Now onto the next challenging piece.

Virginia Parker will be here on Aug. 4 to check how much our blood is still pumping starting at 11:30 a.m. Don’t forget to give us a call by 8:30 a.m. to get a bean in the pot for you if you would like to join us for lunch.

We have a new Facebook page out there in social media, it is something new for us. Not a lot on there yet, but you can find us at Encampment Sagebrush Senior Center. We are also linked with the Carbon County Senior Services Inc.

Have a great week!
