Laramie woman rescued from Medicine Bow Peak after snowboarding accident

Rescue teams from Carbon and Albany Counties worked for about six hours on July 4 to rescue a 20 year old Laramie woman who was injured while snowboarding down Medicine Bow Peak above Lake Marie on the Carbon and Albany County line.

According to Carbon County Sheriff Jerry Colson, his office was notified a little after 9 a.m. July 4 that Emma Chafin was injured while attempting to snowboard down the front of Medicine Bow Peak through a snow field above Lake Marie.
