The American Legion Post 54 family had elections in May. The officers for the Legion are commander – Jim Shepherd; vice-commander - Steve Wilcoxson and Adjutant - Deb Clark.
The Auxiliary officers are president – Fran Payne Rogers, vice president – Kathleen Martin; secretary – Diana Galbriath; treasurer – Donna Younger. The Sons of the American Legion are commander - Jim Shepherd; vice commander – Steve Fletcher and adjutant – Matt Hayes.
The American Legion family will meet June 28 at 2 p.m., to plan the Fourth of July activities, which include the parade and barbecue.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. To enter the parade, or for more information, call the Post Home at 307-326-9600. Entries need to be in by July 2.
The barbecue is July 4 at 2 p.m., next to Lollypop’s. Proceeds go toward the scholarship funds.
The American Legion will host a breakfast for the Wounded Warrior Event June 26 at 8 a.m. Please feel free to stop and greet the veterans.
The American Legion Auxiliary is hosting the annual River Raft Poker Run on June 27. A Wilcoxson-Stockwell Chicken Burn for Cancer will follow the Poker Run.
