Sympathy for nursing home residents, staff

I want to start out by saying my heart goes out to everyone involved with the nursing home. It is so hard to see people displaced and people losing their jobs. I have nothing but admiration for everyone who works there. It takes a special kind of person to do that work. And you are all very special to the residents as well as to this community.

There were not enough here to play bingo this week.

There were four here to play bridge on Monday. First place went to Mary Sjoden. Second place went to Mariel O’Grady.

We all want to let Bob Johnston know we miss him up here. I really hope you get to feeling well enough to come join us soon.

We showed the movie “Paddington” on Thursday. We had six people stay and enjoy the movie and popcorn.

It was nice to have our director, Lisa Engstrom, stop in for lunch.

We had the National Day of Prayer here on Thursday. It was a very nice program and everyone really enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone who was instrumental in getting it all put together.

We want to express our sincere sympathy to Pete and Myrtle on the loss of one of their sons. I know it is a very tough time for them and just to let them know all our thoughts and prayers are with them as well as the rest of their families.

I do have the paperwork for the property tax help. If you need them please stop by and pick them up. It does pay to send them in. You could receive some money in a couple of months. They have to be post marked by June 1st. So you do not have very long to get them in.
