Oiler springs past school pole vault record

Saratoga High School Senior Andrew Oiler topped the pole vault record set by Anthony Samson in 2012. Samson had broken the previous 21- year record in 2012 during state competition with a 12 foot 6 inch vault.

Oiler's 12'8" pole vault took place on the home field during the Burt Willford Memorial Meet.

Oiler tried to break his own record with a 13' pole vault. Oiler made three attempts and managed to clear the bar, but as he came down on the other side his chin clipped the bar.
