Jeanette Romios passed away at her home on the Romios Ranch southeast of Encampment on April 26. She was 79.
Mrs. Romios was born in Encampment on Oct. 1, 1935, the daughter of Oma and Lee Hammer. She attended Encampment schools. After her marriage on Oct. 10, 1951, to Pete F. Romios they lived on the Romios Ranch where they engaged in raising cattle and at times had a few sheep.
Her work revolved around the ranch as she helped with haying the summer, driving the power sweep. An avid hunter, she enjoyed deer and elk seasons when hunters spent time on the ranch as they were guided by Romio...
