Games, movies and more

Games provide laughter and socialization during the week. On Sunday morning, residents played Wii Bowling. On Sunday afternoon, six residents played Dominoes with Charlotte Gibbons winning. On Monday afternoon, three residents played Dominoes again. On Wednesday afternoon, 14 residents played Bingo, and Friday afternoon, 14 resident played Bingo. Marion Lansdown, Pat Rust, Nadine Caleb, Truth Karstoft, Merle Starr, and Russell Cox won Four Corners. Janet Kennaday, Marjery McAulay, Merle Starr, and Charlotte Gibbons. Our volunteers were Gloria Rakness, Lila Worden, Sue Bartlett, Makayla Fairbanks, Elder Palmer, and Elder McConneghey On Thursday afternoon, five residents played Yahtzee with Elaine Burge and Pat Rust winning. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

Movies provided entertainment for residents throughout the week and the weekend. In the evening residents watch the Turner Classic Movies channel. On Tuesday afternoon, four residents watched “Return to Snowy River” and had popcorn as they watched the movie.

For Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center, three residents had pork chops on Monday, and four residents had baked fish on Friday.

On Sunday afternoon, Reverend Miki Laws led our church service and offered Communion to residents. Doris Davis played traditional religious music on the keyboard.

On Tuesday morning, residents planted seeds in flower pots in Arts and Crafts.

On Wednesday morning, seven residents had their hair done, and seven residents had their finger nails done by Janice Kerpan.

On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed the Ice Cream Social.
