Encampment FCCLA brings home the gold

The Encampment High School and Junior High School Family Career and Community Leaders of America had a successful week in Cheyenne two weeks ago returning with seven gold medals, four silver medals and two bronze medals.

Isaac Dugger received a gold medal for his entry in Applied math for Culinary Management. He was also awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Johnson and Wales University, a culinary school in Providence, R.I.

Also bringing home gold medals were Emily Morgan, Alyssa Barkhurst and Sierra Loftice for their Entrepreneurship entry; Jacob Dickinson for his Extemporaneous entry; Spencer Knotwell for his Textile Arts entry and Jarom Herring for his Textile Arts entry.

Silver medals were awarded to Brett Ralston, Harold Jackson and Hunter Hammer in the Quiz Bowl and Michael Wagy in the Baking competition.

Jarom Herring won a bronze medal for his entry in Food Art as did Darion Vacher in the Creed competition.

Coming home with honorable mentions were Ariana McKinny in Job Interview and Katie Russell, Lauren Buford and Ember Yeary in Baking.
