"Absaroka" is a visually rich period piece that takes place in the Wyoming territories in 1881. The story follows two cowboys, Lucius Blackledge and Howard Prescott, who come upon a ransacked wagon on their way to town. When they find the owner of the wagon just before he dies from a mortal gunshot wound, the two cow punchers decide to hunt down the men responsible and save the dead man's wife and daughter from the ruthless outlaws that kidnapped them.
