Thatcher Spiering works for the pin at the regionals last weekend. Spiering finished second in his weight class. Spiering, a junior at Saratoga Middle/High School, is going to state with a 38-7 record.
The entire Saratoga Panthers wrestling
team qualified for state at regionals last
Saturday.
Daynon Mowry and Thatcher Spiering
finished second at 126 and 145 respectively
and earned All Conference, an especially
big honor considering that unlike basketball
and other sports where All Conference
is voted on by coaches, the wrestlers have
to place in the top two at regionals to earn
that honor.
Jaxon King, finally back from a shoulder
injury, finished third with a win by fall
over Cole Cook from Moorcroft; Thomas
Ingraham and Chaze Wiant placed third
