The Carbon County School
District No. 2 Speech Team
took the 1A/2A Sweepstakes
Trophy at the Rawlins
Speech Meet last weekend.
Jacob Dickinson took second
place in oratory and
Lydia Smith took fifth.
Dickinson also advanced to
semi-finals in drama.
Robin Gloss and Larissa
Ford won three of four
rounds in Public Forum. The
girls missed advancing to
semi-finals with three other
teams because of the other
opposing teams with the
same record had won against
stronger teams.
Eighteen schools participated
in the Rawlins meet.
This weekend, the team
travels to Greybull.
