Sweeping the District Science Fair

SMS students take top spots

Judges listen to seventh grader Aubrey Berger present her science fair project. Berger placed first and is one of six Saratoga Middle School students who qualified for the regional science fair later this month.

Saratoga Middle/High School science teacher Shaleas Harrison was ecstatic when she heard her students' names announced. All six of her seventh and eighth grade students made the final cut to be sent to the regional science fair in Rock Springs.

The Carbon County School District No. 2 (CCSD#2) Science Fair was held in Hanna on Thursday.

The first place winner in the eighth grade class was Cruz Escobedo Pinedo for her project "How Does Diaper Brand Effect (sic) Diaper Absorption?"

Second place was award to Kieran Neville for "Does Color Effect (sic) Memorization?"

Taking the third place spot...
