Reading for rewards

The Carbon County Library System has introduced a new reading program for the winter. The 2015 Winter Program is from Jan. 5 through Feb. 27 and each age group has rules and prizes.

For children ages 0-5, if they read 10 books, are eligible to win a copy of the book “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons”.

For children ages 6-12, five books with chapters or 250 words, are eligible to win a copy of the book “Owl Moon”. For readers ages 11-18, requirements are to read and review one book. The written reviews are eligible to appear in the Carbon County Library’s Zine and win a prize.

Adults 18 and over who read a book and write a review will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a vintage board game or a Walmart gift card.
