Change in the Good Times Valley

Thanks to the voters, the Saratoga Town Municipality will realize quite a transformation Tuesday. Three new members will be sworn in to serve our community – E.J. Glode as mayor and Will Faust and Richard Raymer as councilpersons. This will be the biggest change in leadership in over eight years.

The community should be excited for the change as these new public servants, all with strong community ties, take the reins at town hall. The newly elected are not without experience as all were members of the Saratoga/Carbon County Water and Sewer Joint Powers Board and Mayor-elect Glode has previously served on the town council.

As with all change, there will be bumps in the road. We as a community need to come together to aid these valuable servants to a promising future with benefits and direction for the betterment of all in our community.

As is the case with all elected officials, our community is always best served in the light of day—meaning governmental transparency, availability and openness. It is our endeavor to keep the public informed along the way with accurate and unbiased coverage as we continue to chronicle events in our community.

Please join us in welcoming the new council, here’s to a prosperous and smooth transition and a solid future for Saratoga.
