Golfers bring home first team trophy

The Saratoga High School Golf team earned second place at state this past weekend. Left to right are Chaze Wiant, Guy Erickson, Braxton Schwartzkopf, Wyatt Carricato, Jaxon King and coach Matt Daubner.

The Saratoga Panthers Golf Team took home a third place trophy at the 2A State Tournament in Worland last week. This is the first golf team trophy in the history of Saratoga High School.

The team shot 384, 415–799 in two days of play. "We were all just so happy to take home a third place trophy for the school," Coach Matt Daubner said. "It's recognition of hard work and we came home with something for the school."

Daubner credits Braxton Schwartzkopf with being the driving force behind the team, "he was a great team captain all season."
