Streeter graduates from Dartmouth

SHS student graduates with honors from Ivy League school

Sam Streeter, a 2009 Saratoga Middle High School graduate, has received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering Sciences with high honors. Streeter’s degree includes a minor in earth science. Streeter graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in June.

Streeter also received his Bachelor of Engineering degree with a concentration in chemical engineering from Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering. Streeter graduated as a James O. Freeman Presidential Scholar.

Founded in 1769, Dartmouth is the smallest university in the Ivy League and is lcoated in Hanover, N.H.

Streeter spent his summer working at Moosilauke Lodge, which is owned and operated by the Dartmouth Outing Club in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

He plans to return west this fall after running the Vermont 50 Ultra Marathon.

According to a press release, Streeter intends to gain experience from on the ground field work before returning to school for graduate studies.

Streeter is the son of Jeff and Sandy Streeter, of Encampent.
